LUFC Leeds to sign Villa defender

Leeds United will sign Aston Villa defender Eric Lichaj on Thursday on a one month emergency loan deal.

The 22 year old will come in as cover for Paul Connolly who suffered a hamstring injury the win over Coventry City last weekend.

Lichaj made his first team debut for Villa this season in a Europa Cup qualifying clash with Rapid Vienna.

He made his Premier League debut when he came off the bench against Blackpool in November and made his first start for the club against West Brom in December.

So far this season he has made six starts in all competitions and two substitute appearances.

The American is also known for having a tremendous long throw that can cause problems for opposition defences.
