LUFC Howson in England squad
Leeds United captain Jonny Howson has earned his first call up for the England under 21 squad.
The midfielder has been called up for the squad by manager, Stuart Pearce, for their friendly in Italy on Tuesday night.
Howson has been in fantastic form this season for Leeds and as helped the side to challenge for promotion from the Championship.
He has also chipped in with eight goals including his first hat trick for the club in the 4-1 win at Scunthorpe United in October.
The 22 year old who came through the Leeds United academy is the first player to earn a call up for England since Fabian Delph in 2008.

The lads been in fantastic form this season and as really stepped up to the plate in the Championship. Not sure how he can win his first cap for the under 21's at 22 though!? :69:
To be honest he would put in a better display for the full international side than some of the over paid prima donna's who are currently in the team.

He's been in top form for us this season, and rightly deserves a call up but its a little late at the age of 22 he'll not get many games and will he start
