Leeds United boss Simon Grayson believes the two breaks in the second half due to floodlight failures didn`t help but thought a draw was probably a fair result in the end.
Leeds twice came from behind in a 2-2 draw in a match that was a game of two halves.
The second half was twice interrupted due to a floodlight failure with the second half lasting 59 minutes.
Speaking after the game, Grayson said, 'We certainly stepped up with our second half performance. There were a lot of good opportunities, a good tempo to the game and the performance we know we are capable of producing.
'Portsmouth had the best of the first half and we had the best of the second half. Overall, it was probably an even and fair result.
'We knew at half-time that we might be fortunate to still be in the game at 1-0. We knew we had to pass the ball a lot better and get our passing game and creativity going. The early goal gave us a real boost. We really upped the ante and the lights didn't help us because we were in the ascendancy.'
Portsmouth went ahead when Joel Ward fired them ahead in a first half dominated by the home side.
Leeds were back on level terms within two minutes of the restart when a well worked free kick found Becchio who had the easy task of tapping in from close range.
Portsmouth went ahead again on the hour when John Utaka took advantage of a defensive mix up and fired past Schmeichel.
The lead lasted less than two minutes when substitute Davide Somma fired home from the edge of the area with his first involvement in the game.
Leeds looked for a winner with Snodgrass going close and Ashdown producing a great save to keep out a Howson shot but the two breaks in the game when the lights went out certainly halted the Leeds momentum.
