LUFC Hughesy joins Scunthorpe

Leeds United utility man Andy Hughes has joined Scunthorpe United on an 18 month contract.

Hughes was one of the longest serving players at Elland Road having joined Leeds in the summer of 2007.

The versatile player made 139 appearances whilst at Elland Road and probably played in every position bar goal (I am sure he would have played there if asked).

The 33 year olds attitude epitomised what playing for Leeds is all about, he wore his heart on his sleeve and gave nothing less than 100% every time he crossed that white line and onto the pitch.

Vital Leeds United is a fast growing Leeds United fan site, with the sole aim of becoming the #1 unofficial website for Leeds United fans everywhere.

Good luck Hughesy, what you lacked in skill you made up for in endevour. Always gave 100% and worked his socks off for the team. Every site you go on, fans are saying the same. If we had eleven players who gave the effort he did we would be walking this league.

Nice to see he's gone at last, disagree KB 100% endeavour not in doubt with with 11 in Headless mode we'd be still in League 1, what about skill, reading the game, defending, passing etc

I knew Tiny would be devastated at his departure - I wish the guy luck and always liked him in a Leeds shirt - took me a while to work out what Tiny's problem was but I just worked it out - He's an idiot !!

Good luck Hughesy, no one can question the commitment you gave for Leeds.
