Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was delighted by Leeds performance despite seeing them bow out of the FA Cup against Arsenal who he regards as one of the best teams in the world.
Arsenal finally saw of Leeds 3-1 at Elland Road with a classy performance but they had to wait until the final fifteen minutes to finally put the tie out of reach.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Grayson said, 'We showed some good qualities and if you are going to get knocked out of the FA Cup you might as well have it done by one of the best teams in Europe, if not the world.'
The game was still in the balance with fifteen minutes remaining when Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger threw on Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie.
Grayson saw the substitutions as a credit to the way his side was performing,
'I thought it was credit to us that at 2-1 Arsenal had to bring on Fabregas and van Persie," he continued.
Van Persie scored the third goal with a firm header as Leeds chased the game and it finally ended any chance of Leeds forcing the game into extra time.
