LUFC Leeds v Arsenal Head to Head

Vital Leeds looks at the head to head record between Leeds and Arsenal at Elland Road ahead of their FA Cup replay on Wednesday night.

The two sides have met on 56 occasions at Leeds with Leeds winning 25, Arsenal 14 and 17 draws.

It will be the first time they have met at Elland Road since an FA Cup Third Round tie during the 2003/04 season when Arsenal won 4-1.

Arsenal have won 4-1 on their last three visits to Elland Road.

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four visits to Leeds and the last home win came during the 2000/01 season when a rare Olivier Dacourt goal was enough in a 1-0 win.

The two sides have met on five previous occasions at Elland Road with two draws and three wins to Arsenal.

Three of the five ties have gone to extra time with Arsenal winning one of them and the other two going to another replay (in a time when replays could go on forever.)

The two clubs have been involved in some classic FA Cup encounters over the years.

Before penalty shootouts were introduced, it took three games to separate them during the 1982/83 season when Arsenal eventually went through 2-1 at Highbury.

In 1990/91, they went one game further when Arsenal eventually went through 2-1 at Elland Road after three draws between the two clubs.

The two sides famously met in the centenary final in 1972 when a solitary Allan Clarke goal was enough to win the cup for the one and only time for Leeds.

When the two sides met at the Emirates just over a week ago a Robert Snodgrass penalty gave Leeds the lead on 54 minutes.

It was a lead that Leeds would hold onto until the final minute of normal time, Cesc Fabregas equalised for the Gunners, also from the penalty spot.

Its about time we did them in the cup at home, really need to work hard again and get right in their faces. 'They don't like it up em!'

A long time since Leeds beat Arsenal at ER! So it's time to put them to the Sword...Cant afford to let them settle and keep at them...The way Leeds play in most games is attack but we'll have to be patience and let them do most of the running and hit the on the break...And like last game protect our defence and try keep the pegged back...

We have quite a good record against them at home although not in the last few meetings. They wont like a cold night in Yorkshire in front of 38,000 Leeds fans. Get stuck in and don't give em a minutes peace.
