LUFC Could Foy be a lucky omen?

Chris Foy will once again take control of a Leeds FA Cup third round tie, having taken charge of the Leeds game at Manchester United at the same stage last season.

Leeds fans will be hoping for a similar result as Foy controlled the game at Old Trafford superbly as Leeds won 1-0.

The Merseyside official as already taken charge of Arsenal on two occasions this season, the 2-1 win at Blackburn in August and the 2-1 home win over Fulham last month.

Foy took charge of Leeds back in October when they won 2-1 at Middlesbrough.

Referee: C.J Foy (Merseyside)
Assistants: M. Mullarkey & A.S Watts
Fourth official: P. Dowd

Consistently one of the best referees in the league. He wont stand for any clogging of the Arsenal players or any of their theatrical dives either.

I cant remember him doing any harm when Leeds played MU he has plenty of experience...Lets hope we can do the same to Arsenal as we did MU with Foy as a good Oman for Leeds...It's about time Leeds have got a good ref after the ones we have had lately...

Mmm, not sure i agree with Foy being one of the best refs in the league, especially as he was the one that bottled the decision to send off Gary N. Evil when the red scum played W Brom last weekend. But however you see it, i really hope Leeds teach the smug Ashburton Assassins a lesson or two - just tell your players to watch their ankles! Word of warning though - if you beat them don't expect them to take it gracefully!

He's done well for Leeds and didn't buckle under 'Fergie pressure' at Old Trafford last season when you would have thought he would have done.

Lets just hope he plays it fair again, thats all you want.
