LUFC Arsenal v Leeds Head to Head

Vital Leeds looks back at the head-to-head clashes between Arsenal and Leeds at Arsenal.

The two sides have met at Arsenal on fifty-eight occasions in all competitions over the years, Arsenal have won thirty, Leeds fourteen and fourteen draws.

The last time the two sides met was at Highbury during the 2003/04 season when Arsenal won 5-0.

Leeds last win at Arsenal came during the 2002/03 season when a superb strike by Mark Viduka in the last minute earned them a 3-2 win.

They have met on thirteen previous occasions at Arsenal in the Fa Cup with Arsenal winning five, Leeds two and six draws.

The two clubs have been involved in some classic FA Cup encounters over the years.

Before penalty shoot outs were introduced it took three games to separate them during the 1982/83 season when Arsenal eventually went through 2-1 at Highbury.

In 1990/91, they went one game further when Arsenal eventually went through 2-1 at Elland Road after three draws between the two clubs.

The two sides famously met in the centenary final in 1972 when a solitary Allan Clarke goal was enough to win the cup for the one and only time for Leeds.
