LUFC Grayson - One or two irons in the fire

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson admitted that he`s still got one or two irons in the fire after capturing his first signing of the January transfer window today.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, "We`ve got one or two irons in the fire, Kilkenny goes away with Australia and that leaves us a little bit short and we have the option of bringing Adam Clayton back. We are looking at different areas of the pitch and different personnel, trying to bring players to this football club as never been a problem."

O`Brien as agreed to sign a two and a half year deal at Elland Road after enjoying a successful loan spell since arriving in October.

"I`m delighted that we`ve managed to secure Andy O`Brien on a permanent basis, that`s great news for the football club and beating some major competition, so great all round and try and make us better over the next few weeks with the personnel we bring in," he continued.

O`Brien will complete his move after his loan period ends on January 4th.

Good that we got O'Brien if can that midfielder we need! Would be the icing on the cake...

Good news as I feared he cold be lost to a better offer. He had another average game to day but on balance he added a lot to our position.

Lets hope they are done sooner rather than later and we don't leave it till deadline day. I bet Grayson as got to offload a lot of the loan players that are coming back before he can bring someone in.

By all accounts he was offered better money elsewhere but chose us. Lets hope we can bring a little bit more quality in and do some off loadind as well

Already announced that Darville is coming back and Barrow say yesterday was Martins final game.

I think we need about 3 more players for the final push! Andy is a good signing however!
