LUFC Grayson hoping to bring back McCartney

George McCartney has returned to parent club Sunderland after his loan spell at Leeds finished after Tuesday`s game with Portsmouth but Leeds boss Simon Grayson is hoping to bring him back to Elland Road.

The defender has been an ever present since making his debut against Sheffield United in September.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson is keen however to bring the player back to Elland Road, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, 'I've spoken to Steve Bruce and negotiations are ongoing. I'd like to bring him back if it's possible that we can sort something out and come to an agreement because he's done well.
'He can't play against Middlesbrough so that will give someone else a chance.
'There's a few options. (Andrew)) Hughesy, Ben Parker and Fede Bessone are all in contention.'

McCartney made 17 appearances in total during his loan stay.
