LUFC Snodgrass disappointed with point

Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass was left disappointed after Leeds let a two goal lead slip inside the final twenty minutes.

Speaking on the official website, Snodgrass said, "It was disappointing. "It`s disappointing that weren`t putting more pressure on the leaders in the division. When you see how well we have done it shows the character we have and we don`t want to accept second best."

Leeds looked to be cruising to victory after Snodgrass gave Leeds a 2-0 lead with a wonder strike ten minutes into the second half.

Max Gradel had given Leeds a 1-0 lead after twenty minutes after the side had soaked up the early Leicester pressure.

After Snodgrass gave Leeds a 2-0 lead the side were in total control until conceding a penalty with eighteen minutes remaining.

Snodgrass actually felt that he was fouled in the build up that led to the Leicester penalty, "Some of the boys felt that there was a foul on me in the build up to their penalty. It was a bad decision," he continued.

Despite the disappointment of letting a two goal lead slip, many would have been happy with a point before kick off at Leicester, a side that had already beaten Leeds twice this season.

With games coming thick and fast over the festive period, Leeds have a quick chance to put the game behind them when they entertain Portsmouth on Tuesday, continuing he said, "If anybody feels had done by, Tuesday is a good chance to put that right."

Leeds will be playing in front of a sell out crowd after the last few remaining tickets sold out on Monday morning with a gate in excess of 32,000 expected inside Elland Road.

I wasn't sure how to feel after the game, I think most fans would have taken a point before kick off.

I Know we would have taken a point but it would have taken a bit of pressure off over the festive period to start with a win. We don't want anymore points dropped.

We gave Leicester a point, Snodds is right we were cruising until they got that penalty that let them back into the game...Most would have taken a point before the game, but we're on a great run and I feel we deserved the three! Points we were the better team on the day, I feel we were robbed...

Looking forward to game tomorrow, I thing our strong will come through despite pompey having some real quality. I think 2 wins at home will allow us to go to cardiff with real freedom. Super leeds united. 2-1 tomorrow

Watching the highlights Snoddy was probably fouled but still Connolly was caught badly on his heels by Vassels pace. Given that both Collins and O'Brien were getting back and Vassels historically poor touch Kasper should have let him go as he was looking for the penalty and not the shot.
