LUFC Friendly draw with Rochdale

Leeds United have drawn 2-2 with Rochdale in a behind closed doors friendly at Elland Road.

The game was originally going to take place at Leeds Thorp Arch training ground but due to the continued inclement weather it was switched to Elland Road.

Ross McCormack netted both goals for Leeds as boss Simon Grayson once again used it as a chance to give his squad players a game.

Ben Parker once again completed ninety minutes as he returns to full fitness after just two starts in eighteen months.

Jamaican international Jason Morrison who is enjoying a trial at the club also played ninety minutes.

League One side Rochdale also fielded a strong side; they have managed just one game so far in December, so Dale boss Keith Hill took the opportunity to give some of his first team players some much needed match practice.

All four goals came in the first half with McCormack opening the scoring and then equalising from distance.

Good to see Ross bagging another 2. Also looks like we are taking a good look at this Morrison.

Yep Morrison playing 90 mins means SG is keen to get a good look at him and the young lad Thompson came on again as a sub for the hapless Bessone. Notice amdy Faye got 90 minutes as well so his fitness must be coming on.

Leeds have done this well recently, they have arranged a number of friendlies to give players match practice and helped them returning from injury.

''This young Jamaican international Jason Morrison' must be doing well he played for the full 90 mins SG must see something in him''...It's also great to see Parker get the full 90 too...Most getting to play 90 minutes a good sign that some will be back from injury's...Great to see McCormack getting a brace he is going to score a lot for Leeds...

Parker should be featuring on the bench shortly

I really think both McCormack and Paynter could play a big part in the second half of the season. Both have looked much sharper since their returns from injury.
