LUFC Grayson turned down Premiership offer
Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has told Sky Sports News that manager Simon Grayson turned down the opportunity to manage in the Premiership last season.
Despite not naming the club, Bates said that the lifelong Leeds fans turned down the opportunity of a much better salary and job in the Premiership because he wants to take Leeds all the way to the Premiership.
Bates told Sky Sports News: 'Simon is in it for the long run. He was approached and offered a job on a much bigger salary, in the Premiership, over a year ago and he said, 'I came to Leeds to do a job and I'm going to finish it'. If he manages in the Premiership he wants it to be with Leeds.
Grayson celebrates two years in charge at Elland Road this week and as enjoyed a fantastic first two years with the club.
The former Leeds apprentice guided Leeds to promotion from League One last season as well as the epic FA Cup giant killing act at Manchester United in the third round of the competition.
Leeds currently lie in second place in the Championship after defeating league leaders Queens Park Rangers at the weekend and are currently unbeaten in nine games, their best run of the season.

The guessing game will start now as to who it was but I would plump for Burnley before they appointed Laws.

Really glad! Grayson decided to stay I'm sure if he had of left we would still be a league one club...And when Leeds become a Premiership club thankfully Simon will be at the helm...And any more offers that will come his way he wont jump ship...Good man Simon we'll all MOT!...

I think its more likely to be Bolton as Coyle was still at Turf Moor at the start of this year.

I'm trying to think who sacked their managers towards the end of last year, Hull, Bolton and Burnley are all possibilities.
I am sure I can remember rumours of him with Hull City.
