Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson says he would love the opportunity of a loan spell with Leeds United.
The 22 year old has suffered a number of set backs with injury since first breaking into the City side in 2007.
The midfielder suffered an abdominal injury that required a hernia operation and that forced him to miss much of the 2007/08 and 2008/09 season.
He struggled to break back into the side during 2009/10 season but suffered a serious knee injury that ruled him out for nearly eleven months.
Johnson as now returned to full fitness and with a lack of first team opportunities at City he is looking for a loan period away from Eastlands to gain some much-needed first team action.
Johnson would love a spell at the club he`s supported since a boy, speaking in the Sunday Express, Johnson said, 'You can't pick or choose but I've always been a Leeds fan.
'I'd love to play for them and a loan deal would be an ideal scenario.'
Johnson has represented England at both under 19 and 21 levels, so far during his career.
He looked well on his way to a good career at City and he produced some fine performances during the 2007/08.
So far he`s made fourty five appearances, scoring three goals during his City career.
