LUFC Leeds beat Newcastle in friendly

A strong Leeds United side beat Newcastle United 4-1 in a behind closed doors friendly.

Leeds fell behind inside three minutes but struck back thanks to goals from Sanchez Watt, Billy Paynter, Leigh Bromby and Davide Somma.

Ben Parker came through another 90 minutes as he continues his recovery from long-term injury.

Ross McCormack, Billy Paynter, Davide Somma and Ramon Nunez all completed 45 minutes of the game.

There was also appearances from James Morrison and Zac Thompson who are currently having trails with Leeds.

Newcastle fielded an inexperienced side but owed a lot to experienced goalkeeper Steve Harper, who managed to keep the score down with a string of great saves.

I think they would be competetive Dazza. Still dont see how someone with the talent of Watt isnt even making the bench. Good to see Paynter finding the net as well.
