LUFC Grayson - Lets see where it takes us

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is refusing to get carried away despite seeing his side move into fourth place in the Championship after a 3-2 win at Burnley.

The result sees Leeds stretch their unbeaten run to eight games and they are now just two points behind the automatic promotion places.

Grayson is trying to keep his feet on the ground but admits he can`t help looking at the table. Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, 'It's hard not to see the table but there are far too many games to be involved in yet. We have got players that are adapting to the division and a fan base that demand the best from the team. Over the next months, we will see where that takes us."

Leeds entertain top of the table Queens Park Rangers next weekend and another victory could see the side move to within three points of the early season pace setters who lost their first game of the season on Friday night against Watford.

The results around the top of the table have been good for Leeds over this weekend with Qpr, Cardiff, Derby and Norwich all losing and Swansea only managing a draw.

Leeds away form continues to be particularly impressive and they have now won four and drawn two of their last six on the road since losing to Ipswich at the beginning of October.

A few weeks ago he was talking about staying up first, still around another fifteen points needed for that. The good thing now is there is a bit of a gap appearing betweeen the top six. It can soon change though, QPR and Cardiff are having a wobble at the minute.

I think there are too many twists and turns to come in this division to rest easy. We cant keep going behind and hope to get back all the time but the depth of our squad should help as the heavy months of Jan/Feb take their toll on injuries/tiredness and suspension.

I keep looking at the matches ahead into the new year and every one of them looks difficult, but the way we are playing at the moment anything cn happen including another drubbing. here's hoping for a good start, don't peak too early and if we are there or there abouts come end of March, who knows?

There is bound to be many ups and downs over the next few months but we are now in a great position and there is a little gap growing between the top six and the rest.
