LUFC Bates hits out at Johnson

Leeds United chairman Ken Bates has been quick to point out his side of the Bradley Johnson transfer saga.

Johnson was placed on the transfer list recently after failing to agree a new deal at Elland Road.

The midfielder stated in the Yorkshire Evening Post earlier this week that there had been a break down in communication and that he wanted to stay at Elland Road but wanted to be on similar money to the highest earners.

Bates however sees it very different, speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Bates said, "As far as we are concerned with Bradley, he was earning more than the Prime Minister.
"We made him a good offer and his agent demanded considerably more than we are prepared to pay. We increased our offer once more and that`s it."

The 23 year old was booed from the pitch when substituted during the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, with the fans showing him exactly what they think.

But Bradders has done more for us than the prime minister!! I don't pay any taxes because of Johnson!!

I can beleive what Bates is saying. I have heard very bad reports about Johnson being quite an arrogant so and so. I've heard tails from fans who have asked for his autograph only for him to throw it back in their faces. We have players who have agreed new deals with the likes of Howson, Hughes and Somma all signing new deals for Leeds in the last six months. If he doesn't want to stay then good riddance to an average player.

We increased our offer once more and that`s it." I wonder what means Ken?...Is there a offer on the table now or is it thats that?''...I'd like to know how much the prime minister is on...

If thats the case about not signing some autographs and trowing some back into fans faces...''Bye Bye''...

There is no offer on thye table at the moment KB says Leeds United are not chasing around after Johnson who didnt turn up at contract meetings with Shaun Harvey and SG. He has also failed to return KB phone calls which is a death wish at Leeds.
