'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Somma will get his chance again

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has ensured Davide Somma that he will get his opportunity again after not featuring recently.

Somma started the season in terrific form after having a very impressive loan spell at Lincoln City last season.

The South African scored nine times in sixteen games during his time at Sincil Bank and hit the ground running when starting for Leeds.

Somma scored twice as a second half substitute in his first game of the season against Millwall in August and scored in his first start for the club in the following game against Leicester City.

The 25 year old has scored seven goals in fourteen appearances this season, with five of his appearances coming from the bench.

Somma hasn`t featured since starting the game against Bristol City four games ago, but Grayson as been quick to explain that the striker is still in his thoughts.

Grayson, speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post said, 'Davide had a fantastic start to the season and opportunities will come for him. But other people are going to get opportunities too.

it's great for me to have so many options and I said when the
season started that any success we have this year will be based on the squad. We've got a busy schedule coming up so all of these players are going to get opportunities.'

Both Billy Paynter and Ross McCormack have recently returned to full fitness and both played a pivotal part of Leeds come from behind victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

With Leeds changing formation in recent games and playing just the one up front there is plenty of stiff competition for places with Grayson`s injury worries easing.

Somma was also recently linked with a move to Swansea City according to one South African paper that the club were quick to deny.

Now we have McCormack and Paynter as well, who have both looked good when coming off the bench in the last two weeks its a great headache for Grayson. Will he change for the 4-5-1 with so many players chomping at the bit for a game.

Strikers change games as proved on Saturday, whether he'll get in above both Paynter or McCormack is another thing

Cn't see him getting much of a chance now with Paynter and McCormack fit.
