Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was delighted with the performance by midfielder Robert Snodgrass in the win over Coventry City.
Snodgrass set up Howson for the first and then scored a delightful second as the midfielder played a huge part in the victory.
The Scot is only just returning to full fitness after suffering an injury during pre season that saw him miss the first eight games of the season.
Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, 'He's been getting his fitness back, he's got a lot of quality and today was probably the best game he's had for a number if weeks,' Grayson said. 'He's got that in his locker and I'm delighted for him.
'In any game you want to put the home team of the back foot and we did that (with Howson's fourth-minute opener). Snodgrass showed a lot of composure to pick Jonny Howson out. The second goal saw Snodgrass show a lot of quality and he was great, especially in the first half.
Snodgrass has now scored two goals in eight appearances this season and will be hoping that his form can now win him his first full Scotland appearance.
