LUFC O'Brien will help cut out silly mistakes

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is sure that his latest recruit Andy O`Brien can help his defence cut out the silly mistakes they have been making this season.

O`Brien who only signed on Thursday from Bolton Wanderers on a month`s loan had a solid debut and quickly made an impact with a goal line clearance in only the second minute.

Grayson was delighted with O`Brien`s debut and is confident that he can help sort out a defence that as conceded 26 goals already this season. Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Grayson said, 'We needed an experienced defender and his clearance was important. That could have been a horrible start. I'm sure we'll cut out our mistakes a bit more often now.'

The Leeds boss is also looking for O`Brien to use his vast experience in the Premiership and become a leader at the back, 'Leadership was something I knew we'd get from him. He's played at the highest level and he's a talker," Grayson continued.

Leeds will now prepare for the away trip at Coventry City on Saturday where they will be hoping to make it three away wins in a row.
