LUFC Middlesbrough v Leeds Match Preview

Leeds are finally back in action after the two week break for the internationals and make the short trip north to face Middlesbrough.

Form

Middlesbrough
The pre season favourites for the division are still struggling to find any kind of form and have picked up just one point from their last three games.

Last time out they were held to a 2-2 draw at home against Portsmouth.

Boro`s home form is actually very good and they have won three, drawn one and lost one of their opening five games at the Riverside.

After ten games they have won three, drawn two and lost five and are currently in eighteenth position.

Recent home form: DWWWL

Leeds
The Whites have lost their last two games against Preston and Ipswich Town.

Last time out on their travels they lost 2-1 at Ipswich. Robert Snodgrass looked like he had earned Leeds a point with just thirteen minutes remaining only for Ipswich to score a late winner.

So far this season away from home Leeds have won one, drawn two and lost two.

After ten games they have won four, drawn two and lost four and are currently in tenth place.

Recent away form: LdLWD

History
The two sides have met on 42 occasions at Middlesbrough with the home side winning 18, Leeds have won 9 and 15 have been drawn.

Leeds have visited Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on eight occasions and are still unbeaten.

Leeds have won two and the other six games have all been drawn.

The last time they met was in the 2003/04 season when Leeds came away with all three points in a 3-2 victory thanks to a winner in the final minute by Mark Viduka.

Boro's form at home is not that bad, their away form is letting them down...Leeds want to be on their toe's when they visit them this coming Sat' and hopefully will take the three points...And lets hope the break was long enough to get a few players back...

We have players back, not the ones I was hoping for but at least it gives Grayson a few more options.
