LUFC Snodgrass - We've go to stay positive

Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass believes the international break has come at a good time for the side to work hard on the training ground and stay positive despite their poor preformances recently.

Snodgrass made his first start of the season in the side`s last game against Ipswich and he managed to open his account for the season when it looked like he had salvaged Leeds at least a point with a late leveller.

There was still enough time though for Leeds to be reduced to ten men when Alex Bruce received a red card and Ipswich to find a winner.

The defeat came hot on the heels of the embarrassing home defeat by Preston when they threw away a 4-1 lead to eventually lose 6-4.

The heavy Preston defeat came just two weeks after the side had let in five at Barnsley and Snodgrass believes the side have needed to work on their defending.

Speaking on the official website, Snodgrass said, "We`ve got to stay positive. It`s up to us to stop conceding silly goals and the way to do that is on the training ground."

Leeds are preparing for the trip to big spending Middlesbrough next time out.

The North East side were strong favourites for the division at the start of the season after their summer transfer activity. They have stuttered in their opening ten league games and are currently in eighteenth position but a win against Leeds would see them join the Whites on fourteen points.

In a wide-open division and despite Leeds poor performances against Preston and Ipswich a win could see them go back into the Play off places.

A strong following with their allocation of over 4,000 tickets already being sold will once again support Leeds.

For those not going the game can be seen live on BBC1 with a teatime kick off at 5.20pm.
