LUFC Bruce to miss Middlesbrough trip

Defender Alex Bruce will serve a one match suspension for his sending off at Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Bruce, who signed from the Tractor Boys in the summer, made an unhappy return to his former club when he picked up two yellow cards for fouls on the same player, Andros Townsend during the game.

It will be frustrating for the defender, as he has just broken into the first team having spent the early months of the season on the bench.

Bruce as started the last four games for Leeds and helped the side two to clean sheets in his first two games, he also scored his first goal for the club in last weeks game with Preston.

The defender will miss Leeds next league game when they travel to Middlesbrough on October 16th.

Only himself to blame, Grayson was right to label him as stupid for the second booking.

I have now seen him in three games including Leicester and I am not impressed by his static defending. He is okay if long balls are hit down the middle but is suspect on the ground, is prone to going to ground too easily and is as guilty as Naylor to misjudging the flight of balls from the wings. I think SG was right not to play him.

Silly to get s suspension, hopefully he'll learn to stay on his feet. S G get someone in to sort out the back 4 may I suggest one Mr Lucas Radebe, he is after all available and would love the oppontunity

Rare I manage to contribute, but I'd have settled for 10th after 10 games. The fact that we could easily have been 3rd or 4th shouldn't hide the fact that we've moved up a serious step in class in playing in the Championship. Remember that we didn't exactly stroll out of League 1 and our engine-room is largely the same. Anything above half way would be a great season. We may have to be happy to consolidate and build next year. And please remember where we've been and not who we used to be. No "Larry Out" please lads!

Hoepfully Connolly will be back for this game and he can go in at right back and we wont be depending on Hughes.
