LUFC Brown extends loan at Leeds

Leeds United have extended the loan of goalkeeper Jason Brown from Blackburn Rovers for a further month.

Brown made his first team appearance yesterday in the 2-1 defeat at Ipswich Town when he came on for the injured Shane Higgs just past the hour mark.

Higgs suffered an hamstring injury and with Kasper Schmeichel already injured and Leeds third choice keeper Alan Martin on a season long loan at Barrow it leaves Leeds desperately short in that area.

The extension of Brown`s loan had already been extended on Friday with his initial month`s loan due to run out after the Ipswich game.

Leeds have also been linked with Liverpool`s young goalkeeper Deale Chamberlain on a youth loan but as yet nothing as been confirmed by either club.

With them already agreeing the loan before Higgs got injured this worries me that Kasper might be out a bit longer than we all hope!

This really puts the frighteners up me...This sounds like Kasper will be out for longer then most of us though we dont really know what Brown is like he didn't play long enough to show what he's like...Can thing get ant worse hopefully not...

I have a feeling Higgs was already carrying an injury. His mobility on Tueday was zero

Lets hope Kaspers back after the break, but Brown could be a better option than Higgs

I think Brown should deffo get a chance ahead of Higgs now, Higgs injured or not!

Looks like we are going to get a chance to have a good look at him with Higgs and Kasper injured. Hopefully he will do well and Grayson might sign him in January as he's shown an interest to stay full time.
