LUFC Grayson - We'll play better and get nothing

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was happy to see his side grind out a result in an often dour Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.

He was also quick to admit that his side will play much better this season and come away with no points rather than all three.
Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, 'We'll play better over the course of the season and maybe not get the result we need or deserve.
'It was a close game and fortunately we've come out on top.'

Leeds won the game thanks to a solitary Bradley Johnson goal with just six minutes left on the clock.

Johnson had Leeds only other meaningful effort of the game in the first half when Simonsen excellently saved his header.

The closest the visitors came was when Ertl hit the bar with his header in injury time and Higgs somehow managed to keep out the follow up.

I said exactly the same, its nice to win ugly and grind out a result than play well and get beat.

I think most fans said the same, would like to see us play well though and knick a 1-0. I think we was lucky we was up against a poor side who came looking for a point.
