LUFC Leeds bring in defender on loan
Leeds United have signed George McCartney from Sunderland on a month`s loan.
The defender hasn`t featured for Sunderland since March and is hoping to improve his fitness whilst at Elland Road.
McCartney was sidelined with an ankle injury and was hoping to regain his place in the side at the start of this season. That was until he suffered a serious knee injury during pre season.
The Northern Ireland international is looking forward to his time at Elland Road, speaking on the official website, McCartney said, "This is a great opportunity to play a few games and hopefully make an impact."
Despite not being assigned a squad number at the Stadium of light he was included in manager Steve Bruce`s 25 man squad for the Premiership season.

Unfortunately for White looks like he's back on the bench, would expect McCartney to go straight in the side

Think its a good signign but am a bit worried about him going straight into the side if he's been out for so long.
