LUFC Strong reserve side set for Grimsby

Leeds United will be taking a strong reserve side for their trip to Grimsby Town this evening.

Simon Grayson will be going to Blundell Park to take a look at trialist Amdy Faye as well as recent signings Ross McCormack and Adam Clayton.

Also involved are defenders Leigh Bromby, Jason Crowe and Aiden White.

Davide Somma and Mike Grella will lead the line in the Leeds attack.

Somma has already scored three goals in the first team this season whilst Grella recently turned down a move to League Two side Oxford United.

Andy Robinson who is the only one left at the club of the quartet who was told to find a new club at the end of last season, will also be included.

Leeds have won the league in the past two seasons and will be hoping to build on their winning start to the season, having won their only game so far 3-2 at Gateshead, thanks to two goals from Grella and one from White.

That side should be far too strong for Grimsby, I think their first team would struggle.

Looks like it was us that struggled. Looks like most of the players who can't get in the first team are happy to rot in the reserves if they can't beat Grimsby!
