Grayson updates transfer activity at Elland Road

In what`s usually a very busy day in the football calendar, Leeds boss Simon Grayson has been explaining how the day as gone so far at Elland Road on Yorkshire Radio.

Grayson has confirmed that the club have agreed a deal with Manchester City to bring Adam Clayton in on a full time basis.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, "We`ve not agreed everything regarding the contract situation but if we do, do it, it`s for the longer term and feel we`ve got something we can work with".

Grayson also confirmed that Ramon Nunez has signed for Leeds until January, to allow the Honduras international to get some games under his belt, "We`ve got a player there that we want to have a look at a little bit longer, the contract really isn`t anything long term. It`s an opportunity for us to have an extended look at him and play in a few more games with us and the option to extend the deal in January," Grayson continued.

The Leeds boss also stated that the day wasn`t over yet as he is still looking to bring in one more player and there is the possibility of a couple of players going out of the door.

Stay with us until 6pm when the transfer window closes until January with all the latest comings and goings.

I think Nunez is just going to be the same as Somma and Grella, get games for the reserves and not much action for the first team. Its taken him a month to offer him a deal until January so he can't be that impressive.

I think Nunez is like most players that come here from overseas. May need time to adjust to the English game.

I think Nunez will get a few games and really show Grayson what he can do...Dont think he'd stay if was only to get games in the reserves...And maybe why it took so long for a deal to be done was because of wages etc...We've all seen what he can do I know it was in Videos but the Camera doesn't lie...Hopefully he'll be another Hasselbaink you never know I remember when he came to Leeds most said he'd never cut it...Who was Wrong...Cant wait till we see Nunez! Playing then minds can be made up...

Swindon Advertiser is reporting that Alan Sheehan is on his way down to sign a 1 year permanent deal.

The final piece in the jigsaw or 'icing' as larry likes to call it must be a defender, possibly Caulker from Spurs. I think I would wet myself if it was another striker lol
dangerousman
i think Nunez will be ok , dont know much about him , but good luck to him

So the other signing never materialised, I wonder who it was?
