LUFC Leeds fined by FA over Forest incident

Leeds United have been fined £7,500 by the FA and warned about their future conduct after failing to control their players during the match at Nottingham Forest on the 15th August.

Leeds and Forest players got involved after Forest defender Chris Gunter stamped on Leeds player Sanchez Watt`s foot.

Both players were shown a yellow card but the FA decided to take further action after watching video replays of the incident.

The £7,500 fine that Leeds have received is the standard fine set by the FA for this sort of charge.

Nottingham Forest were given a slightly higher fine of £12,500 and Chris Gunter was given a three match suspension for violent conduct for the stamp on Watt.

Its a slap on the wrists really. Thought Forest might of got a bit more than £12,500 as they had the incident with Derby last season. Glad Gunter got his cumupence although them down to ten men for the final fifteen minutes might have seen us get all three points and not just the one.

I think Forest will be well please with that as they have been repeat offenders over the 2 seasons. Still dont think Gunter being banned helps us at all.

Good, gunter desrves his Ban, your right though Dazza, shame he wernt sent off on the day

Forest should have been down to ten men, they should haul the officials in whose inept performance failed to notice it. Yet they all stood chatting like they saw everything, think they bottled it with it being at Forest.
