LUFC Leeds v Leicester Team News

Leeds United will welcome back Max Gradel to the squad for the game against Leicester City in the Carling Cup.

Gradel served the last of his four game ban on Saturday and will go straight into the squad for the game against his former club.

Simon Grayson hinted that a few players were carrying knocks after Saturday`s game and may be forced into changes.

Davide Somma will be pushing for a starting place after coming off the bench to score two goals in Saturday`s win over Millwall.

Still out are long term injured Billy Paynter, Robert Snodgrass, Ben Parker and Patrick Kisnorbo.

On loan midfielder, Adam Clayton is ineligible, as his parent club do not want him cup tied.

Conrad could to start in goal for Leicester, he came off the bench to replace the injured Chris Weale at the weekend, who is rated only 50/50 for the game.

Matt Fryatt is expected to miss out again with the Achilles injury that forced him to miss the game on Saturday.

Lloyd Dyer also missed the weekend game with a shoulder injury and is unlikely to be risked for this game despite returning to training.

Franck Moussa could make his first start for the club; the Belgium midfielder came off the bench on Saturday after joining the club last week.

Give Becchio a rest and start with Gradel or Watt and Somma up front. I am sure after being told he wasn't good enough for the championship Gradel will be hoping to prove his former club wrong. Shame Nigel Pearson still isn't in charge for Gradel to rub it in. Gradel will be wanting to make up for his missed start and his antics in the final game of last season.

I agree, get Gradel and Somma in the side. What a good looking midfield and strike force with Sam, Watt, Gradel and Somma to scare them to death

A good delima for SG to have who he might play...He said he wants to win so he just might play Becchio and Somma...I'd like to see Grella get a run...
