LUFC McCormack in talks with Leeds

Leeds United have agreed an undisclosed fee with fellow Championship side Cardiff City for striker Ross McCormack.

The deal now hinges on the Scottish international agreeing personal terms and passing a medical with Leeds.

McCormack celebrated his 24th birthday last week and has represented Scotland at under 21, B and full level.

He started his career at Glasgow Rangers where he scored on his European debut in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Porto

He enjoyed a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers before joining Motherwell in 2006.

He moved south to join Cardiff City in 2008 and in his first full season, he scored 23 goals in 44 appearances.

Last season he struggled to repeat that form and spent half of the season on the bench.

This season he`s made three substitute appearances and scored two goals, they both came in the Carling Cup first round win over Burton Albion.

He's probably in the last year of his contract but I think its got to be over 1 million for his services. I saw a lot of him during his loan spell at Donny and he averaged about 1 goal in 4 games with a lot of the games being as substitute. At the time I thought he was very light weight, but this was about 4 years ago and he's bulked up a lot since. I think its a good signing although I hope all the people who don't want us signing any naughty boys like Calum Davenport. He is currently banned from driving after getting done for Drink driving last year. I hope he can 'drive' us up the table.

Yeah Ross crashed his Range Rover while drunk, then drove off. You're certainly right Dazza that he's 'bulked up' !!!

Did well in his first season at Cardiff but what happened last season. Have the championship clubs done their homework on him and know how to stop him scoring? I think this could be the sign that Becchio could be on his way out.
