Regular Vital Leeds contributor des, made the long trip north from Herefordshire and gives us his first fans view from the 4-0 Carling Cup win over Lincoln City.
Schmeichel - 7
what rating can you give a man who does not put a foot wrong, yet had so little to do
Connolly - 8
Often played well ahead of his defensive team mates, maybe due to the game being over very early, but he looked self assured.
Bruce - 7
Bye Bye Naylor. He may not have been up against the quality that Derby had but surely he will start against Forest
Collins - 7
Had less to do tonight, as his partner had legs.
Bessone - 5
Needs to gain some confidence, I'm not sure if he is good enough? He was turned inside out at times.
Watt - 9
I`m sure he is a Brazilian in disguise. Linked up well with everyone, including Sam on the other wing. He was outstanding.
Grayson put him upfront with Grella for the last thirty minutes and this killed the game, but he was still lively enough.
Sam -. 9* Man Of The Match
Another Brazilian performance on the wing. He really was a pleasure to watch. A goal, an assist and he won a penalty.
Kilkenny - 8
His best performance that I have ever seen, though he still lost the ball in vulnerable areas, including once almost gifting them a goal
Howson - 7
Great work from Mr Howson. Is anyone going to say he went missing?
Johnson - 6
Worked hard and tried a little too hard to score from outside the box, but a good enough performance
Becchio - 7
Worked hard as usual. I am not going to win any prizes by saying he lacks a little quality at times.
Grella - 4
If only white had squared the ball to him in the last seconds then he would have had a tap in. Otherwise a poor 30 minutes
White - 5
Not very impressive today, but maybe not helped by the game being over when he came on
Hughes - 5
When it goes right this season then I`m sure we can have a few goal fests at ER.
Sam and Watt were outstanding and its hard to chose a Man Of the Match between them.
At times I thought I was watching Brazil. We passed the ball assuredly around the pitch making a mockery of Lincoln.
Lincoln did have some good spells, again showing how a better team may expose our midfield.
When Grella and White came on we changed the formation to 4-4-2, with Grella and Watt up front.
Maybe it was that the game was already over but Watt and Grella was not nearly as effective.
Where will Snodgrass fit in with Watt and Sam? I guess in a more central role.
Great game to watch and only cost £12.
My first fans view and not to the standard of Tiny or Erni, but at least we won unlike when Erni does it lol.
Thanks for your fans view des, it made the long trip well worth while by the sounds of it.
