LUFC Leeds v Lincoln Match Preview

Leeds United welcome Lincoln City to Elland Road on Tuesday night for a Carling Cup first round clash.

The Whites lost their opening day fixture 2-1 at home against Derby County.
In last seasons competition Leeds made it through to the third round before losing 1-0 at home against Liverpool.

Lincoln
The Imps also lost their opening day game when they went down 2-1 at Rotherham United.

They went out in the first round last season when they was beaten 1-0 at home against Championship side Barnsley.

History

This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides since the 1960/61 season.

Lincoln will be looking to avoid a repeat of their last visit to Elland Road when they lost 7-0.

They have only met at Elland Road on six previous occasions with Leeds winning five to Lincoln`s one.

Lincoln fans looking forward to this match. Our initial allocation of 1,185 is sold, and plenty buying tickets on the night.

I expect Grayson to make a few changes from Saturday, give players like Higgs, Bruce, Grella, White and Bromby a run out.

Would expect the odd change but nothing too drastic

I think we will have wholesale changes with most of the bench getting a start and maybe a cou[ple of juniors getting on at some stage. Lets hope SG learned his lesson last year with minor tournaments.
