LUFC Leeds v Derby Match Preview

Leeds United kick off their Championship season this weekend with a home game against Derby County.

The Game is Leeds first back in the second tier of English football after three years in League One.


The Whites enjoyed promotion as runners up from League One last season and will hope to keep up the momentum.

In pre season, they have played six games, winning four and losing two.

They beat MFK Kosice 1-0, SK Brann 3-1, Hartlepool 5-0 and Wolves 3-1 whilst they lost to MFK Ruzomberok 1-0 and Bury 4-0.

The Rams finished last season in fourteenth place in the Championship.

In pre season they have played six games, they have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1.

They have beaten, Burton Albion 1-0, Chesterfield 5-4 and Stoke City 1-0. They drew 3-3 with Bournemouth and 1-1 with Southend. There only defeat came in their last pre season game when they went down 2-1 to Birmingham City.
