The Rams finished last season in fourteenth place in the Championship.

They have beaten, Burton Albion 1-0, Chesterfield 5-4 and Stoke City 1-0. They drew 3-3 with Bournemouth and 1-1 with Southend. There only defeat came in their last pre season game when they went down 2-1 to Birmingham City.
