LUFC Leeds to use multi-ball system

Leeds United have decided to use the multi-ball system for Saturday`s game with Derby County and have asked for the fans to help make it work.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has wanted to bring in the system to help the tempo of the game but this will only work if when the ball goes out and into the stands the fans don`t throw the ball straight back onto the pitch.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, "This is a new system, but one I feel will be of benefit to the team, and the help and support of the fans will be much appreciated."

The referee can ask for the multi ball system to be stopped at anytime during a game if he feels that it`s not working and the game is being held up when two balls are on the pitch.

With away sides often coming to Elland Road, putting men behind the ball, and trying to waste time this system will benefit Leeds in keeping the game flowing.

I could never understand why we didn't do this in League One, how many times did we see sides come to Elland Road, put eleven men behind the ball and try and time waste at every opportunity.

I thought this was used everywhere actually, never realised it was something clubs to choose to take on. Just seems to make sense and should keep the tempo and excitement up.

About time we did playing at a higher tempo should help us, otherwise the game gets slow and bogged down

I can see this not lasting, you can bet that the fans will be throwing the balls onto the pitch when it suits Leeds.

no chance of this working imo

DOES THIS MEAN WE COULD SCORE MORE GOALS,
