LUFC Lees joins Bury on loan

Leeds United defender Tom Lees has joined League Two side Bury in a six month loan deal.

The defender spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley and earned rave reviews from Stanley boss John Coleman who labelled him the best right back in League Two.

The 20 year old can play at right back or in the centre of defence and as featured for Leeds in pre season, including coming off the bench in Leeds 4-0 defeat at Gigg Lane.

With Leeds signing two new central defenders during the summer as well as adding a right back, Lees opportunities of first team football looked limited at Elland Road

Was hoping he would play a part for us this season but hopefully he shine for Bury and still have a future at Leeds.

I was hoping he'd get a chance after the reviews he got at Accrington. We have so many options in the right back and centre of defence position that he was only fourth or fifth choice. I wouldn't be surprised if he's another who will be allowed to leave on a free. Whats happened to bringing through the youth team players?

Will toughen him up but would have liked him to be given the chance at E R first, as with Daz lets use the players we develop rather those that have been round the block a few times

At 19 he is young for a defender and has just signed a new 2 year deal at Leeds so maybe larry is looking to the future while using experience to get settled in the N Power.
erni
6 months too , maybe he will be in our plans after January with more experience if he plays well there who knows.

Another one farmed out, give some of them a chance Larry!
