LUFC Snodgrass injury not as bad as first feared

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has received some good news that the knee injury sustained by Robert Snodgrass in Norway last week is not as bad as first thought.

Snodgrass was carried from the pitch on a stretcher after a crude challenge from an SK Brann player which as seen him on crutches since the incident.

The 23 year old was sent for initial scans when the club arrived back in Britain last week and he had further scans today to help with the verdict of the injury.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, "Contrary to reports Snoddy`s injury isn`t as bad as first feared.
"We expect to have Snoddy back sooner rather than later."

Grayson had hinted that the club were already in negotiations to bring in a replacement if the results of the scan were not good.

Rumours circulating suggest that they are interested in bringing back Arsenal youngster Sanchez Watt back to Elland Road after he enjoyed a successful loan spell with the club towards the end of last season.

I hope its only a few weeks, I think he's going to be an important player for Leeds this season, one who certainly will rise to the challenge of the Championship.
