LUFC Gradel double in comfortable Leeds win

A reasonably strong Leeds United XI enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win at Gainsborough Trinity on Thursday night.

The game saw the return of club captain, Richard Naylor to the side after injury.
Naylor played the first 45 minutes and came through it ok.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson watched the game from the stands as reserve team coach Neil Thompson took charge of the side.

Leeds won thanks to two goals from Max Gradel and one from Davide Somma who once again looked very lively in attack.

Both Alan Sheehan and Andy Robinson, who have been told to look for new clubs by Grayson during the summer, started the game.

There was no place in the squad however, for Lubomir Michalik and Tresor Kandol who have also been told they are surplus to requirements.

Team:
Martin, L. Turner, Sheehan, Hatfield, Naylor, Lees, Robinson, McCann, Somma, Gradel, Baxendale.

Subs:
Payne, Cairns, Booker, Turner, Birbeck, Killock, Taylor, Qualter.

I wonder why Gradel and Somma were involved after playing at Bury on Tuesday night? Is that Graysons way of telling them to get used to playing for the reserves next season!
