Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has agreed a new three year deal with the club.
Grayson has been rewarded by the club with the new contract after leading the side to promotion back to the Championship after a three year exile.
Speaking about the deal on the official website, Grayson said, "I`m delighted the club have offered me a longer contract.
My intentions have always been to take the club forward and after achieving promotion last season, I hope we can go on to fulfil everyone`s dreams of winning promotion back to the Premier League."
Grayson joined Leeds in December 2008 from Blackpool, who he had also led to promotion in his three years as manager of the Tangerines.
The 40 year old as also led the side to break two long-standing club records in his eighteen month`s in charge.
Leeds started the 2009/10 season with eight straight wins and they won fifteen home league games in a row between the end of 2008/09 and the start of the 2009/10 season to set the new milestones.
He also masterminded Leeds first win at Old Trafford in almost thirty years in January, when they defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup.
Grayson has been strongly linked with a number of other clubs in the past few months and the Leeds Chairman Ken Bates is delighted that Grayson as committed his future to the Elland Road club. Speaking on the Official website, Bates said, "I`m very pleased. Simon has committed his future to the club despite enticing offers from elsewhere."
Having already brought in six new players to the club, Grayson is currently away with the squad as they prepare for the new season with a two-match tour in Slovakia.
