LUFC Scunthorpe deny Kandol rumours

Scunthorpe United boss Nigel Adkins has denied the club are to sign Leeds striker Tresor Kandol.

Reports at the weekend suggested that the Iron were to sign the striker on July 1st but Adkins has been quick to deny the rumours.

Speaking in the Scunthorpe Telegraph, Adkins said, 'I don't know where this has come from but there is nothing in it.

'I have had no contact with Leeds United and no contact with Tresor Kandol.'

Kandol as been told by Leeds boss Simon Grayson to actively look for a new club during the summer, despite still being under contract at Elland Road.

The Congolese international was one of four players, along with Lubomir Michalik, Andy Robinson and Alan Sheehan at the end of last season told to look for a new club by Grayson.

Grayson admitted at the end of last week that he`d had interest for Michalik, Robinson and Sheehan.
