LUFC Leeds sign Schmeichel

Leeds United have signed goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel after he was released by Notts County at the end of the season.

The 23 year old becomes Leeds first signing since their promotion back to the Championship and he joins the club in a two year deal.

The former Manchester City goalkeeper helped Notts County to the League Two title last season and he made 42 appearances keeping 24 clean sheets.

He was also named the League Two player of the season and came to the attention of a number of Premiership clubs after being released by County at the end of the season.

His signing shows the power that the name 'Leeds United` still carries and the commitment that Leeds are showing to make a push towards the Premiership

What a fantastic signing for the club, the first piece of the jigsaw in place, looking forward to a few more over the summer.

Great signing hope he is even 1/2 the player his rudolf dad was. Well done Larry, start at the back and make your way forward, couple of good defenders next would be nice.
