'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Leeds hoping to top the charts

Leeds United are urging all their fans to buy the newly re-mastered version of the clubs anthem Marching On Together and get into the top ten of the UK pop charts.

It is being released on May 16th in over 35 countries and over 500 digital stores and can be downloaded for just 79p.

The song also known as 'Leeds Leeds Leeds` was first released in 1972 in recognition of the clubs achievement to reach the FA Cup final.

It was actually only the B side of the disc with 'Leeds United` the A sided track and reached number 10 in the charts at the time and quickly became the Leeds terrace anthem.

The song is still played prior to kick off in both the first and second half`s of games at Elland Road.

With the feel good factor back around Elland Road, after the clubs promotion back to the Championship, they are hoping that fans will download the song.

Over 10,000 people have already pledged to buy the track on a Facebook website, which should see the song in the top 10 of the charts.

If they could double this total then they are hopeful that it could go straight into the charts at number 1.

So to all Leeds fans out there, get downloading the single and lets make sure that we can also have a number one in the charts as well as promotion this May.

The hairs on the back of my neck (very short ones) still stand on end whenver I hear this at Elland Road. Wouldn't it be brilliant to hear it at the top of the charts.
