LUFC Beckford in Team of the Week

Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has been included in this weeks League One Team of the week for his performance against Bristol Rovers

Beckford was recalled to the starting line up for the crucial match and was also handed the captains armband.

The 26 year old responded by scoring the all-important second goal to give Leeds a 2-1 lead and the victory they required to gain promotion back to the Championship.

The team of the week is chosen by the Press Association for the top eleven performing players for their positions.

Also included in the side was former Leeds defender Frazer Richardson for his performance in Charlton`s 2-0 win at Oldham.

Top performance by Beckds on Saturday, it was in the stars that he would score the winner. I had a bet on him to score the first goal, was gutted when his effort was disallowed.
