LUFC Carlisle v Leeds Match Officials

Premiership referee Mark Halsey will be the man in charge when Leeds travel to Carlisle United on Tuesday night

Halsey only recently returned to refereeing after a fight against cancer.
He`d been taking pain killers for a sore throat for three month`s before finding out in August last year that he had a cancerous tumour in his throat.

The Bolton official found out earlier this year that he is in full remission and remarkably set about a return to refereeing at the top level.

He returned on the 3rd April when he took charge of the Rotherham United v Port Vale game.

This will be his third game in his comeback having taken charge of the Oldham Athletic v Bristol Rovers game at the weekend.

His last game in charge of Leeds United was in the second leg of last season`s play off semi final at Elland Road against Millwall when the game finished 1-1.

Referee: M. R Halsey (Lancashire)
Assistants: A. M Garrett & B. Roberts
Fourth official: B. Khatib

Is always nice to see people doing well after such horrible illnesses, fair play. Wish him the best.

Good to see that he's better, I remember him last season in the P-offs he's not that bad a ref, he's fair and lets the game flow...

Lets hope he does well on Tuesday night.

Good to see anyone recovering well from cancer, he's done really well to be back this season. He was ok in the play off game last season, even tried to help us out by giving us a penalty.
