The midfielder has recently returned from a loan spell at fellow League One side Southend United making four appearances.

The 18 year old has made three starts for the Gunners this season all in the Carling Cup against West Brom, where he scored, Liverpool and Man City.

If Arsenal rate him highly, he's obviously good with the ball. Better change our long ball tactics, if we wanna see the best of him.

I think its a great signing despite knowing nothing about the lad. I have been saying for a long time that we needed to start looking at the top Premiership sides and taking their youngsters on loan. He's come through the Arsenal Academy so must have something about him. He's been involved in their Carling cup games this season and anyone whose watched them on the TV in the Carling cup when Arsenal usually put out a mixture of reserves and youngsters they have always more than matched a number of clubs first teams. Only down side is I would have loved him to be a central midfielder. Does this mean the end of Mcsheffrey? -I hope so.

Young fresh and fearless, just the kind of player we need, and can play on the left and as a striker, I dont think we can go to wrong with this young lad...

In the Sun it says you are getting Shane Lowry back as well so maybe you can turn the corner.
