LUFC Robinson in Rovers return

Leeds United midfielder Andy Robinson has joined fellow League One side Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the season.

Robinson has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Leeds side since joining from Swansea City in the summer of 2008.

The 30 year old was rumoured to be close to signing for Tranmere before the transfer window closed but the deal fell through at the last minute.

Tranmere have been able to bring in Robinson thanks to funds raised by the clubs fans, it`s aptly named 'Les Aid` after their current manager and physio Les Parry.

Local lad Robinson, was actually born in the Wirral and is returning to the club where he started his career in 2002.

He never managed a first team appearance during his short stay at Prenton Park before being released and joining Swansea City.
