LUFC Leeds sign Neil Collins

Leeds United have signed Preston North End defender Neil Collins on loan for the rest of the season.

Leeds made the move to bring in Collins after losing influential defender Patrick Kisnorbo for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury in last night`s defeat to Millwall.

Collins joined Preston from Wolves last summer on an initial loan deal and signed permanently in the January transfer window.

The 26 year old has made 20 appearances for the Lilywhites this season but has dropped down the pecking order since the arrival of new boss Darren Ferguson.

Collins made 24 appearances for Wolves last season when they won the Championship.

Before we all condemn this lad before he's even kicked a ball for Leeds United lets give him a chance, very much the same was being said about Kisnorbo when we signed him in the summer. Its now official, he's signed for us for the rest of the season so lets get behind him.

He's played at the higher level with Wolves, obviously not good enough for the Prem but a good Championship player sound move we need defensive reinforcements, S G obviously doesn't rate Marques or Michalik, would like a see a right back brought in also
