LUFC Fans view v Tranmere

LUFC Fans view v Tranmere

Vital Leeds contributor Paulj82 gives us his fans view and player ratings from Tuesday nights win at Tranmere Rovers.

Ok went to watch the near perfect performance last night
.
It could have been better, could have kept a clean sheet and maybe a few more goals.

Beckford was so unlucky not to get a hat trick as the keeper pulled off a fantastic save.

Beckford`s second goal was, well, fantastic!

Casper Ankergren 7

Not at fault with goal, McSheffrey was. Made a few good saves, especially in the last minute, a fantastic save.
Back to his best, even did well with crosses!!

Andrew Hughes 8

Typical Hughes, got forward well and put in a good shift.

Richard Naylor 6 (lowest mark)

Looks dodgy, them legs giving up on him?
Found the car park more often than a Leeds player.

Paddy Kisnorbo 8

Solid as a rock, this guy should be captain. Always telling players what to do, quality.

Aidy White 8

This kid is going to be a star.
Looks solid going forward and his tackling is second to none.

Snodgrass 8.5

Goal, did he mean it? .No!
Who cares, we went mental. His crossing has improved a lot and he's getting to the bye line. Finally got an all round winger??

Jonny Howson 8.5

Well I`m not his biggest fan I think he's over rated.
But last night I eat my own words, he really did the simple things correct. Passing was fabulous.

Mike Doyle 8.5

Doyle was solid, got forward and back and nearly capped it with a goal.

Gary McSheffrey 7.5

Best game in a Leeds shirt, his fault for goal, he should of cleared the ball leading up to the corner. Other than that, he linked up really well.

Luciano Becchio 8.5

Outstanding, he held the ball up well and him and his partner are back firing on all cylinders.
Goal was brilliant play.

Jermaine Beckford 9.5 Star man

The main man is back with a bang.
At last we have a penalty taker!!!
His second, well he's got the quality as we all know, Daniels the Tranmere keeper needs some credit as he stopped him from getting a hat trick, he'd of got 10/10 if he had.

Subs

Kandol, Gradel and Dickov all 6

Not that they did bad but the game just died down.

Summary

Easy 3 points.
Second in the easiest game of the season poll. In first place, Tranmere at home (can we play you every week?)

If they go down its all their defences fault as they are shocking!

So all in all a brilliant result and a nice feeling on the way home as we pull away again from the chasing pack, Norwich watch your backs, there must be a bad patch for them coming up.

So we turn to Southampton on Saturday and we will need another performance like last night.

Thanks for your thought`s Paul.
