LUFC Parker suffers fresh injury

Leeds United defender Ben Parker has suffered a setback in his comeback from injury.

The defender was set to play in Wednesday`s night reserve game against Huddersfield only to be ruled out after suffering a knee injury in training.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson is hoping that Parker will be back in training next week, speaking on the official website Grayson said "This isn`t a major thing, and hopefully he will be ok ay after the weekend and be fit for a game next week".

The 22 year old has had no luck so far this season, he`s been missing since the opening day of the season after suffering a hamstring injury.

He returned to training in the autumn only to suffer a hip injury that required surgery.

Parker returned to training in February and had been involved in a reserve game and also a practice match before suffering his fresh injury.

I feel sorry for the lad, I think Grayson was probably hoping he would be ready for a first team comeback after Lowry's loan spell ended.

By the looks of it he will be playing for the reserves next week, we still have Lowry till the Southampton game.

Just sounds like a small setback. Will be good to have him back as he was looking very good before this lengthy injury.
