LUFC Parker and Marques in strong reserve side

Ben Parker continues his comeback from injury when he will line up for the reserves at Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.

Parker has been out since the opening day of the season and will be hoping to play some part in Leeds promotion push towards the end of the season.

The 22 year old as already played in a few games during his comeback and it will be another step closer to a return to first team action.

Leeds will also welcome back Rui Marques who as been out with injury since returning from the African Cup of Nations in January.

Marques started six of the first seven games of the season but hasn`t featured since the Colchester game at the end of August.

Leeds are to take a strong squad to the Galpharm stadium for the game with a number of first team players short of match practice.

Reserve team manager Neil Thompson speaking on the official website said "We`ve got a few first teamers in because they need to play. They`re all coming to an important stage of the season, and they need to play".

Mike Grella, Andy Robinson, Lubomir Michalik and Jason Crowe are amongst those expected to play in the game.

I didn't realise that Marques hadn't played since the end of August.

Lets hope they are soon back to full fitness, we could do with the options of both Parker and Marques.

Good to see them back and I wonder if the young RB from Arsenal (Obed) will play again now he knows he will be released by the Gunners
